On Foot From the station (10-15 minutes): On exiting York Station by the main entrance (with the taxi rank) turn left. Follow the road past the Royal York Hotel, and cross straight over at the traffic lights. Go straight on, and through the gate in the bar walls (city walls). Turn left, and cross the river. Continue straight ahead to the next set of traffic lights. Turn left and go past Theatre Royal. Continue to the next set of traffic lights and go straight on to Gilly Gate. At the next set of lights, bear left past St John's college. Keep on this road for about 5 minutes and you will come to a set of lights. Turn left onto Wigginton Road, go past the hospital and the guest house is 5 minutes past the hospital, on the left-hand side.
The friendly, recently refurbished Hilton Lodge has elegant B&B accommodation in superior Victorian rooms. It is 10 minutes walk from York Minster and the city centre.
