On the banks of the River Foss, in York's historic city centre, alongside the ancient city walls, this newly refurbished modern hotel has a heated indoor pool and spacious, contemporary rooms. The Novotel York Centre has an excellent location, just a short walk away from the city's shops and main business centres. The beautiful and historic York Minster is less than a mile (1.6 km) away. Parking is available at an additional cost and the hotel also boasts indoor and outdoor play areas for children. Elements Bar and Restaurant offer a range of dishes, all available in taster, starter and main-course sizes. There is also an outdoor terrace area and room service is available. Up to 2 children (under 16 years) can stay free (with breakfast) when sharing a room with adults. This includes access to video games, baby equipment and a healthy children's menu. Families also get late check-out on Sundays (until 17:00).
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 16 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged GBP 30.00 per night and person for extra beds. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. Groups: When booking for more than 15 persons, different policies and additional supplements may apply. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is included. Internet: Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and costs GBP 3.00 per hour. Meal Plan: Breakfast costs GBP 12.50 per person.
